Family Emergency – Out of Office

Dear Patients,

As some of you know, I was just in Taiwan to take care of my grandmother after she suffered a severe stroke. After treating her and seeing her getting better, I returned to the US planning to serve my patients.

However, some family members believe that grandmother should pass away peacefully because they think she will not have any quality of life. So they informed me they plan to stop her oxygen supply. I strongly disagree with their decision and must go back immediately to prevent this.

I apologize I must cancel your appointment. I don’t know when I will be able to return to the US. I will call you individually to reschedule. Thank you for your understanding.

Sorry I cannot call you individually to inform this because I must go to airport ASAP.

Best Wishes,

Victor Cheng, L. Ac.

Hi Dr. Cheng, I was very wrapped up by my work that I just did not have a chance to take a look at your site. So just saw all these, and feel bad that I did not see it sooner and send you an email giving my regards. I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother’s health, and admire your strong action toward other family members. I hope you are feeling more at ease now as you did what you think was right and I am sure she is proud of your standing up for her. Keep safe, I hope the covid-19 situation will be improved here so some people don’t suffer so much caused by the impact. Ann Ting Reply
